Summary: Imagine if your identity was little more than that of a clone. An imperfect copy of human life. Even worse, your actions are obligated to mirror your counterpart. There is no freedom, no choice, no life. That is, unless you are willing to take it by any means necessary. Such is the plight of the Tethered.
History: The Tethered are an enigmatic sort. They look human, but they are in fact vague government experiments presumably designed to replace their real-life counterparts. But they are reduced to copying said counterparts' every move, with next to no free will at all. However, all of that changed when a real person, Red, was accidentally swapped with her Tethered, Adelaide. Driven mad by the sorry state the Tethered were in for years, she instigated a revolution, in which the Tethered would seek out their counterparts by themselves and kill them. For Red's family in particular, it will turn a regular vacation into a battle for survival and identity.

Final Fate: All of the Red’s family's Tethered are killed in a number of ways, but in the end, Adelaide gets to keep her life with her family after killing Red. Meanwhile, the rest of the Tethered prepare to storm America as one. Whether their revolution succeeded or not, none can say...
Powers/Abilities: The Tethered can tell exactly what their counterparts are about to do before they even do it. They are also psychically linked to each other, have incredible pain thresholds, can perform great feats of strength, and often wield golden scissors as weapons.
Weakness: If their counterpart does something, their Tethered will do it too, even if it is suicidal. They are also able to be killed by conventional means.
Scariness Factor: 4-The Tethered are admittingly quite pitiful, seeing how they've been driven insane by the isolation and lack of any free will. You almost want them to kill their human counterparts and become independent. Then you see just how brutal and barbaric they can be. Particular stand-outs are Umbrae and Pluto, the former for being a laughing-mad little girl and the latter for being a downright bestial pyromaniac. But overall, we've only ourselves to blame for having an army that knows our every move...even if every move isn't always a benefit to them.
Trivia: -This was the second film directed by Jordan Peele, who had found cinematic acclaim from his 2017 directorial debut, "Get Out", a horror movie with similar allegories to racism and loss of identity, albeit it was more focused on the former. Quite a couple of feats for a guy previously known exclusively for comedic works.
